Special Delivery!

Emree Diane Trimble

Born June 11, 2009 at 10:13PM
7 lbs 5 oz; 20 inches long

Emree's Birth Story (the short version):
I started having contractions Wednesday afternoon. I left work and went to the labor and delivery unit at the hospital. When I went up to the desk, one of the office gals looked at the other with kind of a "panic" and said "Where are we going to put her?"

Aparently the hospital was extremely full! At that point, I was dialated to a 4 and having regular contractions, but because they weren't strong enough or close enough together they sent me home because, as my doctor put it, "there's no room at the inn."

It ended up being a good thing though, because Emree wasn't ready to come just yet... I continued having contractions all that night and the next day, but they never got stronger or closer until about 6:30 on Thurday we decided to go into the hospital again. At this point, my contractions were strong enough that I couldn't talk or walk though them and I was sialeted to a five. They kept me for an hour to monitor, but warned me that if I didn't dialate more in that hour that they were going to have to send me home again because there simply wasn't room at the hospital. Luckily, by the end of that hour I was dialated to a 7+ and well on my way to having a baby!

Emree was born just 2 1/2 hours later (with no anesthetic - I'm proud to say)

She is just as healthy as can be! There were no complications, and it was all a very smooth, perfect birth. We are very excited to have her (even Shae is - she is a GREAT big sister)

BUBBLES!

We gave Shae Shae a bubble bath in the jetted tub... She had so much fun! She was up to her ear lobes in bubbles at one point. The first time we gave her a bubble bath, she was so scared of the bubbles and didn't want them to get on her at all... Let's just say that it's good that she got over that fear before we did the jetted tub experiment :) She is such a sweetheart!

She would get bubbles on her face and then try to get them off with her arms that were covered in bubbles... needless to say, that was a lost cause!

CRAZY HAIR AND CHEESY SMILES!

Check out the hair on this kid! We taught Shae how to "say cheese" for the camera, and these are the sweet smiles we get! It doesn't get much better than this!!

A Grand New Announcement!

Our Family is Expanding!
(At least Jenni is)

For those who don't already know, We are 20 weeks pregnant with our second baby, due on June 16, which is Shae's 2nd birthday (We plan well). We are all very excited, especially Shae (who couldn't wait to find out if she was having a baby brother or a baby sister)

When we found out we'd be having another beautiful baby girl we asked Shae what she wanted to name her. Her response came quickly... "Dodagu" (I guess we won't let the 2 year old name the baby)

Shae loves her little sister and often gives little "Dodagu" hugs and kisses!

As sweet as our little Shae Shae is, it didn't take her too long to figure out that with Momma so low on energy, she could get away with virtually anything...
You can tell just by looking at her, that she is already planning her next move.

We can't wait to add another bundle of love to our little family!
